Terms of Service
The agreement between you and GlassKit when you visit the site, buy a license, or use the boilerplate.

[01]·Agreement to terms
By accessing glasskit.app, purchasing a GlassKit license, or using the GlassKit boilerplate code, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the site or product.
These terms form a binding contract between you (the customer) and GlassKit (us). If you are purchasing on behalf of a company, you confirm that you have authority to bind that company.
[02]·What you're buying
GlassKit is a commercial software license that grants you access to a private GitHub repository containing the GlassKit Next.js boilerplate. Your license tier determines:
- Starter — a license to ship one commercial product built on the boilerplate
- Pro — a license to ship unlimited commercial products built on the boilerplate, plus access to the private Discord community
- Agency — Pro license + 5 team seats on the repository + white-label rights + one 30-minute founder support call
Full license terms are documented separately at /license.
[03]·Payment
All purchases are processed through our payment processor, which serves as the merchant of record. Prices are listed in USD and exclude applicable taxes; our processor calculates and collects taxes for the jurisdictions it supports.
Payment unlocks immediate access to the GlassKit repository. You will receive a GitHub invitation email within minutes of completing checkout.
[04]·Refunds
We offer 14-day no-questions-asked refunds. See our Refund Policy for full details and procedures.
[05]·Updates and access
As long as your license is in good standing (not refunded, chargeback-disputed, or terminated for breach), you retain read-only access to the GlassKit repository and receive all updates we ship.
GlassKit updates are non-breaking by default. Major version bumps are announced at least 14 days in advance via the changelog and email.
[06]·Permitted uses
You may:
- Use GlassKit as the foundation for commercial software products you build and ship, subject to your license tier
- Modify the code in any way
- Charge your own customers for software products built on GlassKit
- Use any open-source dependencies of GlassKit according to their respective licenses
[07]·Prohibited uses
You may not:
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute GlassKit itself — in modified or unmodified form — as a boilerplate, template, starter kit, or competing product
- Share your GitHub repository access credentials, invite link, or repository content with anyone outside your licensed team (Agency tier permits 5 seats)
- Use the GlassKit name, logo, or branding to promote derivative products without explicit written permission
- Use GlassKit for any unlawful purpose, including (but not limited to) building products that violate intellectual property rights, distribute malware, or facilitate fraud
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code from compiled artifacts shipped to your end users (this restriction applies to GlassKit itself, not to products you build)
[08]·Termination
Your license terminates automatically if you breach these terms. Termination revokes your GitHub repository access and entitlement to updates, but does not require you to delete GlassKit code from products you have already shipped.
We may terminate your license for cause (breach of these terms, payment failure, or fraudulent activity) with written notice via the email associated with your purchase.
[09]·Intellectual property
GlassKit (including the source code, documentation, website content, design, and branding) is the exclusive property of GlassKit and its licensors. Your license grants you usage rights, not ownership.
Products you build using GlassKit are your property, subject to the restrictions in section 7.
[10]·Disclaimer of warranties
GlassKit is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that GlassKit will be error-free, secure, or available without interruption.
You assume all risk associated with the quality and performance of GlassKit and any products you build using it.
[11]·Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GlassKit and its contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising from your use of GlassKit.
Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms is limited to the amount you paid for your GlassKit license.
[12]·Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GlassKit and its contributors from any claim, demand, loss, liability, damage, or expense (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms or your use of GlassKit in violation of applicable law.
[13]·Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which GlassKit is incorporated, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
[14]·Changes to terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes are communicated to active customers via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the site or product after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
